That encounter between affections and life itself. Years ago I started a path, that of moving through life. I was born under the stars and the Southern Cross, where the wind blows and the mountains cover and impose their presence. Thus, life saw me born, in a cradle, work family and humble, it was there where the first aroma came . . . that of affections, with that I entered life.
An Argentinean poet said «My mother put love into the pot because she was Creole». It was in this way that life took me to different stages, from a child to a curious adolescent and then, to an explorer of the world to travel to other horizons, full of the same sky without forgetting my roots, I arrived at places that I saw as a child as far away and to a different life, of course by leaving many things behind, but with only one objective, that of growing up in life, in affections, in friends.

Hugs that are shelters for the soul and support the heart, so between trips and trips, I began to daydream and I woke up every day with that dream . . . the one of the house.

Whoever travels and has no home is a wanderer, a pilgrim, but whoever has a home to go to, has love, aromas and flavors to remember, that's why my house is everyone's house, like my mother's, everyone's house is open and you cook what there is and how there is but with love.

Originally from Estado de México, he studied at the Centro Culinario de Ambrosía in Mexico City and at the Liceo Hotelero in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

He was one of five young Mexicans selected for the sixth generation of the Fondation Turquoise Monaco, which allowed him to expand and refine his culinary and hospitality skills over the course of one year. During that time, he worked as an apprentice at Le Vistamar, a Michelin-starred restaurant in the Hermitage Hotel in Monte Carlo.

He also trained under Chef Juan Mari Arzak and Chef Pedro Subijana at their renowned 3-Michelin-star restaurants, Arzak and Akelarre, in San Sebastián, Spain. There, he learned and developed advanced gastronomic techniques that further strengthened his cooking.

In 2013, he arrived in the Riviera Maya in search of new projects and experiences. He collaborated with friends from the gastronomy and events industries in various destinations across Quintana Roo, including Cancún, Isla Mujeres, Tulum, and Playa del Carmen.

After some introspection, falling in love with the region, and following his passion for gastronomy, he settled in Playa del Carmen. In 2016, he founded Chef Tomás Medina Private Chef & Catering, offering services for weddings and private events with the firm conviction of elevating Mexican and Yucatán Peninsula cuisine, always with a high standard of service. His first event was held in Tulum, one of the most natural and unique destinations in the area, setting the tone for his career in the region.

From then on, he and his team have specialized in producing high-end events in remote locations with no infrastructure, setting up mobile kitchens and planning logistics so that all dishes are cooked on-site—creating unforgettable experiences for every guest.

Javier Ornelas García was born and raised in Mexico City. He graduated from CESSA (El Centro de Estudios Superiores de San Ángel), the hotel and restaurant administration university, at the top of his class. After graduating, he opened a restaurant in the city that became very successful.

After selling that restaurant, he took a break to backpack around Europe, and eventually found himself visiting Tulum, and fell in love with the town. He moved there at 25, in 2006, to open a new restaurant and bar called Ginger. Ginger became a local favorite, and a must-visit for tourists as well, after write-ups and awards from Fodor´s travel guide, the New York Times, and other publications.

In his first few years in Tulum, he expanded into the hotel business as well, creating menus for new restaurants on the beach. Ginger has converted into a popular hotel in town that he runs with his wife. In 2013 he began doing event and wedding catering, for the many people who come to the beautiful Riviera Maya to get married on its gorgeous beaches.

I'm Andre. I'm a destination weddings and elopements photographer (or "professional third wheel" !!) based in Cancun , Mexico. I'm half french (that's why my last name!) , half mexican (that's why my love for tacos!).

Like most photographers , I started from the bottom , learned with whatever camera I had in hand and worked my way up! Now I'm so happy to have turned a passion of mine into a successful business that , luckily enough has taken me to travel all over the globe (which I absolutely love to do since I'm a sucker for adventure!), capturing the most amazing heartfelt moments between so many beautiful souls.

The way I shoot: When it comes to weddings , I have a photo journalistic approach to photography where, for the most part I like capturing moments as they happen organicly. I always try to create a connection with everyone involved , joking around and even just being silly!. I love surfing , adventure , music and genuine people with good (and weird) sense of humor! Before I got into photography I was in the music business. I started a band when i was 14 years old and when I turned 19 , we got signed by a major record label company and moved to Mexico City!. I got to meet some amazing photographers while being a working musician and so I discover my passion about photography.

I'm married to an amazing woman named Sandra (almost 6 years and counting!) and now we live in paradise with our 3 furry family members (2 dogs 1 cat!) Life is GREAT !!

I’m a geeky Italian guy living in Cancun with my girlfriend and our 2 dogs.

I go crazy for tacos, geography, traveling, good music, binge watching series in Netflix, pizza, sunsets, editing photos, maps, Tarantino movies , taking portraits of strangers , cooking , the ocean , skype calls at random hours with old friends, camping ,good wine, humor , hiking , good stinky French cheese and adventures.

I’ve started working as a photographer 10 years ago in the Dominican Republic, and then after a year in college studying photography in an art academy in Firenze, I moved for 6 months to Durban, South Africa to work as a photojournalist. After second year of college I randomly arrived in Mexico and fell in love with this beautiful country.

I fell in love with a place that allows me to meet people from all over the world and experience all the different cultures the world has to offer. I fell in love with wedding photography, with the vibe on wedding day, the emotion and the love that spreads in the air.

I’ve been shooting weddings in Mexico for 7 years and this past year, 2019 has been the best so far. We got a chance to shoot 5 weddings in 4 foreign countries, getting us out of our comfort zone and exploring new places and new light.

Nowadays cameras and photographic equipment are more accessible than ever and basically everybody can take a great snapshot.

I believe that what truly defines a wedding photographer is the passion for photography and human relations, I don’t believe in prizes and accolades, instead I live for happy clients and good memories.

I love to shoot weddings in a documentary style, shooting with natural light and trying to interfere as less as possible, keeping it real. Of course we want the clients looking their best at all times, and we do so by creating a real trust and interest for all the people we work with. Also good communication with clients throughout the booking process allows us to really get to know their specific needs and help them achieve memories for a lifetime.

As humans we are all different and this Is the beauty of my job, I get to know so many diverse people and every single wedding is an enriching experience.

I’ve always seen life as one big adventure, and I truly believe that following your dreams is the most meaningful way to live it. Mine began with a deep desire to capture honest emotions and tell real, human stories through my lens.
Years ago, I earned a degree in chemical engineering and spent a decade working in the industry. But life has a way of surprising us — and I found myself drawn to something completely different. What started as a hobby slowly turned into a calling. So I took the leap, left behind the familiar, and chose a new path: becoming a destination wedding photographer and visual storyteller.

My Artistic Style
My editing process is equally unique; something I’ve developed over time and continue to do on a daily basis. Many photographers have asked me for my editing secrets, which I rarely give out! I am very proud to say that many fans and clients are able to discern my images from others’ work upon first glance. Over the past years, I’ve cultivated a unique photographic style that differentiates upon first glance. Clients have described my style as light-filled, airy, and dreamy - which I take as a huge compliment! I photograph almost exclusively with natural light (from the sun), giving my images a creamy glow and flattering skin tones.

With years of industry experience, however, I know so much more goes into offering quality photography than just a good camera and a website! I’ve been in business since 2012, and I’ve photographed numerous clients in numerous situations. My experience in nearly every weather and lighting condition, ability to pose for flattering angles, and quick customer service responses have enabled me to keep doing what I do year after year! I’m an award-winning member of Wedding&Portrait Photographers International and my work has been published in publications such as “Destination I Do magazine”, “Destination Weddings and Honeymoons Abroad” and I was named as one of the twenty best wedding photographers in the Riviera Maya. In 2016 I have achieved the official designation of a Wedding and Portrait International Certified Photographer/WPPIC. Born in Mexico City on May 15, 1983, he began his training at the American College of Photography "Ansel Adams", where he graduated as a Media Production Technician. From the beginning of his career he demonstrated explosive creativity in the field of photographic art which led him to cover different genres ranging from photojournalism to forensic photography, spontaneous portrait on a beach, and formal photo in a studio. The context of urban space and social photography both at weddings and shows, as well as in everyday human situations. However, he was particularly attracted to the manifestations that nature offers us; especially the Sea.

He moved his home to the State of Quintana Roo in the Mexican Caribbean in 2006 As a practitioner of underwater activities, he ventured into the Speleobuceo where he developed his first professional work as a photographer. He participated in photographic studies where he was able to develop his creativity with social photography through portrait and weddings. In the scientific environment he developed documentary photography during the Underwater Archeology Project in the "Nevado de Toluca" in 2010, "Isla Guadalupe Projectiles" in 2012 and "Manila Galleon" in 2013 that was promoted by the Underwater Archeology Department of the Institute National of Anthropology and History (INAH, Mexico). Some photographs of these projects participated in an International Contest promoted by the AQUA Society fot Historical Archeology obtaining two first place prizes and a second in various categories.

Thanks to its great versatility, he covered the documentary work during the Project of the World Extreme Diving Brand "Ojos del Salado, 6,390 m.s.n.m 2010" in the Atacama Desert, Chile.

His work reaches several medias and he has published photographs in various magazines, books, and exhibitions both in Mexico and in other parts of the world such as Manila, (Philippines), Port of Brest (France), New York and Los Angeles (E.U.A.)

He currently directs his own photographic studio and the underwater photographic installation "Oceanotipo" which seeks through art to provoke looks and actions that promote environmental care, sustainable tourism and local identity. To achieve this, he decided to launch an unconventional idea: Photographs exposed on the seabed.
